A brief History

In early 1991, thanks to the initiative of 18 investors, “Almacenadora Regional del Golfo S.A. de C.V.”was established in the heroic city of Córdoba, Veracruz, committed to promoting regional economic development.

 

Thanks to the hard work and determination of our team, service coverage expanded to other regions of the country. By 2004, the company’s name was changed to “ARGO Almacenadora S.A. de C.V.” Today the company is made up of more than 300 members, operating in 12 statesand with 17 warehouses operating directly at strategic locations within the Mexican Republic.

To operate as a General Warehouse (AGD), we are authorized by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and registered and audited by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).

Manufacturing Projects

Handling merchandise such as auto-parts, construction materials, resins and wood, industrialized steel, aluminum, iron and graphite, ceramic flooring, cellulose, paper in rolls, among others.

General Merchandise

Specialized warehousing for importers of wines & spirits, as well as general items such as large-appliances, costume jewelry, toys, stationery products, office furniture, cosmetics, electronics and home appliances, to mention a few.

We specialize in sugar warehousing, being a reference in the central zone of Veracruz — a State with the highest sugar production at the national level.

Authorization and Regulation

ARGO frames its operations within a system of credibility and legal certainty regarding the handling of stored goods and the issuance of Deposit Certificates that guarantee said custody, since our operations are regulated by the following three additional laws:

General Law of Organizations and Auxiliary Credit Activities

Regulates the organization and operation of credit auxiliary organizations. This federal law was published on January 14, 1985.

General Law on Credit Instruments and Transactions.

It regulates the issuance, delivery, endorsement, guarantee, acceptance, and other operations involving negotiable instruments. It also establishes the basis for the circulation of securities and credit operations.

Customs Law

It regulates the entry and exit of goods and passengers into and out of the country, as well as customs clearance. It also establishes the requirements to become a customs agent.
